You’ve walked through the portal and find yourself in a valley between the worlds, called the Elysian Fields. You see blue flowers that go on for miles, and a river that looks so refreshing, it must taste sweeter than anything you have ever drank before. Despite how inviting the valley looks, you don’t feel you belong here. You understand this place is for spirits and those who have passed on into the afterlife. You see the river leads to a large white tree and travels beneath it. There is a light coming from under the tree as if life emanates from it. You instinctively know, if you held your breath and dove under that tree you would surface in Elëázar’s kingdom, called Empyrean. A kingdom with lands said to be more beautiful than even these fields. A kingdom where there is no death and no sorrow. A beggar once told you that Empyrean had walls made of gems, crystal and light, streets paved in gold, and gates made up of a single pearl. You have always wanted to see the Crystal City, but you know because of the sorcery your master has forced you to do, that when you die, that is not where your soul will go. Almost as if death hears you, a fowl smell comes to your nose. You look and see across from the Tree of Life there is the Tree of Death. It is a burnt tree and looks terrifying. The cave beneath it does not shine with light, but looks like a tomb with creepy crawlies and worms. Behind you is the cave which you walked through to get here. The cave is the portal, and it’s under a large oak tree, and you can see your world of Evynlore through its twisted roots. There are other small hills like it, each with a type of tree and cave. You imagine they lead to other worlds. What do you do?
